The IFS Wholesale/Cash & Carry Standard has been developed for wholesalers, cash & carry markets and packaging companies. The standard focuses on the assessment of product safety, quality and process control within these links in the food chain. It complies with the requirements of ISO 17065, but is not recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
This standard helps companies meet the increasing demands for transparency and traceability and contributes to more efficient business operations. Depending on the core business, a customised audit checklist is used.
The standard is applicable to companies that trade in food, non-food (HPC products) or packaging materials, as well as to packaging companies for eggs, fruit and vegetables.
