Lender’s Engineer A Lender’s Engineer is employed by an investor to inspect an infrastructure project to ensure that his investment does not carry unidentified risks, such as:

• cost underestimates,
• revenue overestimates,
• over-optimistic and unfeasible construction schedules,
• use of unqualified contractors/sub-contractors, and
• underestimation of regulatory issues (e.g. environmental regulations etc.).
