FSSC 22000

Food Safety System Certification

The FSSC 22000 is a combination of the requirements of ISO 22000:2005 and the specifications of ISO / TS 22002 that includes the required actions regarding food safety, and PAS 223 that includes the required actions regarding safety of materials that come in contact with food.

These requirements were set in order to complete ISO 22000:2005.

The FSSC 22000 is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) according to the requirements mentioned in the G.F.S.I. Guidance Document Version 5.

Food companies that already apply the ISO 22000 standard can become certified according to FSSC 22000 by integrating in the existing Food Safety management System the requirements of ISO / TS 22002 and PAS 223.
