Experience

Minimum 5-6 years out of which minimum 2-3 years in the sustainability field (in area of GHG accounting, water management, energy management, waste management, etc)

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical) from a recognized college or university; a master’s or higher qualifications in Sustainability topics.  Knowledge and interest in sustainability related areas or topics are essential pre-requisites for the position. Additionally, following qualifications are preferred –

  • GRI Standard training
  • ISO 14064 training, LCA training
  • AA1000AS training
  • LEED AP

Job Profile

  • Actively contributes to the growth of the Sustainability services by taking operational responsibility and accountability for team engagement and delivery
  • Responsible for overall region Sustainability Business for the region. Ensure work order booking, invoicing, and payment collection of Delhi office sustainability customer
  • Support client relationships, business development, and account management leadership through the development of thought leadership, client and internal collateral, and training
  • Identify and communicate trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client, while demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and marketplace
  • Periodic reporting to management regarding business status
  • Active participation for client visits and business acquisition
  • Periodic review participation regarding business development - Delhi office
  • Ensure dedicated support to all offices regarding technical queries at proposal to final report preparation
  • Represent the practice in management forums and support the rapid, profitable growth of the business as a key member of the Sustainability Services management team
  • Assess clients for their efforts to identify, measure, and appropriately manage their business and reporting risks as they transition their organizations to respond to changing government environmental regulations and new trends in sustainability management and reporting
  • Act as the Leader for sustainability and energy-related projects, which include but are not limited to, energy efficient assessments, process analysis, carbon foot printing and accounting, evaluation and deployment of energy efficient and low carbon technologies, energy management training, modelling, engineering design, and implementation oversight.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, both internally and externally. Communicate TUV India’s scope of services.
  • Contribute to business strategic planning; support other business unit initiatives where appropriate, including industrial water management and sustainability services
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability to communicate complex technical information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Prepare Sustainability report according to GRI Standard for various industrial sectors.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams in the delivery of Sustainability Services, with an emphasis on complex and/or specialized issues within Assurance and/or technical sustainability reporting and advisory capacities.
  • Develop proposals in coordination with the responsible Key Account Managers and other branch teams
  • Develop data base, guides and tools related to Sustainability
  • Conduct training sessions on relevant sustainability topics.
  • Have a good understanding of Sustainability Reporting business in both local and international context and capable of undertaking effective business development for clients in targeted sectors under the supervision of the sector leader;
  • Experienced level of baseline skills, i.e. professional and confident business communication skills including presentation and technical report writing in English.
  • Stakeholder consultation and engagement experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary

Attributes

  • Knowledge of Applicable regulatory framework and Statutory compliances.
  • Prior experience in preparing Sustainability Assurance reports according to GRI Standards. Topics of engagement may include: GHG accounting and disclosure, climate change mitigation, Science Based Targets (SBTs), risk assessment, materiality assessment verification, energy efficiency, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) verification, Sustainable Development Goals verification, renewable energy strategy, etc. Professional experience in sustainability consulting, management, green building consulting or other related experience in the consulting industry and/or private or public sector.
  • Good written and spoken English (knowledge of local language is advantageous).
