On January 6, 2011 Association of Latvian Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry (LAKIFA) and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia  have signed an agreement No. APA-L-10-0025  on implementation of project "Development of skills of employees of chemical  and related industries for increasing competitiveness in the labor market and for increasing copmetitiveness of entrepreners”, project No. APA/1.3.1.1.1/10/02/009.

The aim of the project is, with direct involvement of enterprises, to increase qualification of their employees in the major fields of these industries, to establish human resources base in these industries on the basis of knowledge and experience, thereby promoting productivity, employment, developing entrepreneurship, improving competitiveness of enterprises of these industries both in the internal and in international markets.

The applicant of the project, as well as its general partner is LAKIFA, which has from 2009 till 2010 successfully implemented the EU-cofinanced project of training of employees of these industries for the total sum of 332 905 Ls.

LAKIFA is implementing the present project in collaboration with more than 40 companies of chemical and related industries, including TUV NORD Baltik.

The project will be realized till June 1, 2015. Trainings will be organized in the following fields - industrial engineering and management, computer science, engineering and technologies, manufacturing and processing, occupational safety and health, employment protection, language programs.

The project is being implemented within the framework of EU Structural Funds Program "Support to increase of competitiveness of entrepreneurs that participate in the trainings - support to trainings organized in partnership".

TUV Nord Baltik and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia have signed an agreement No. L-ATA-15-2566 on implementation of project  "Participation of TUV NORD Baltik in the international exhibition on non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics, venue - Moscow, Russia" (project Nr. ATA/2.3.1.1.1/14/70/025) on February 11, 2015. The project is co-financed by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The exhibition will be held on February 17-19, 2015 in Moscow, Russia. The company will participate in the exhibition with unique services intended for the markets of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, namely: testing of welded joints of metal structures and materials by methods of non-destructive testing (NDT), mechanical testing, testing and certification of electrical and electronic devices and appliances in accordance with European standards, certification of industrial products (pressure equipment, pipelines, boilers, lifts, simple pressure vessels).

The exhibition will be attended by more than 2,000 people representing manufacturers, service providers, educational institutions, etc. As well it will be attended by representatives of more than 20 different types of economic activities, including machine engineering and metalworking, aviation, oil and gas industries, etc.. Participation in the exhibition will contribute to access of the company to foreign markets by increasing its share in markets of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, as well this will provide attracting new customers and partners, increase of the company's competitiveness and will stimulate growth of export services and recognition of the company on the international market.

On March 20, 2015 representatives of TUV NORD Baltik take part in international conference "Export to Russia and the Customs Union: new rules for product certification" that is organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Milan, Italy. TUV NORD Baltik participates in the conference to familiarize potential customers with its service "Certification of products for export to Russia and countries of the Customs Union". Participation of TUV NORD Baltik in the conference is carried out within the framework of European Regional Development Fund project implemented within the framework of event "Development of the external market - external marketing", which is conducted under the auspices of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia.

TUV NORD Baltik and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia  have signed the agreement No. L-ĀTA-13-1354 on implementation of project "Participation in trade mission organized by the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Yekaterinburg", project No. ATA / 2.3.1.1. 1/13/47/011 on March 14, 2013. From October 16 to October 20, 2013 TUV NORD Baltik participates in the trade mission of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Russian Federation, Yekaterinburg. Purpose of the trade mission is to establish and develop bilateral contacts with entrepreneurs in this region. For 3 days in cooperation with the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry there were arranged exchanges of contacts, individual meetings with potential partners, visits to  enterprises of the region, meetings with the municipal administration of Yekaterinburg and with the regional administration of Sverdlovsk region. Yekaterinburg, located in the central part of the Ural, is known as the center of machine engineering and production. It is an important railway junction and is the fourth largest city in terms of population in Russia. The trade mission was implemented within the framework of the EU Structural Funds program "Development of external markets - external marketing".

TUV Nord Baltik has participated in project "Training of Metalworking Industry Specialists" that is implemented by the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (Project Number L-APA-10-0027) with co-financing of  the European Social Fund. Within the framework of the project more than two employees of TUV Nord Baltik will participate in the training. They will improve their professional skills, increase their competence in the field of production management and will receive new technical knowledges.

TUV NORD Baltik and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia have concluded  an agreement on implementation of project "Participation of TUV NORD Baltik in conference "Export to Russia and the Customs Union: new rules for certification of products" on July 21, 2015. The conference was held in Milan, Italy ((Project Nr. ĀTA/2.3.1.1.1/15/75/060)). Implementation of the project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). TUV NORD Baltik has participated in the conference with the aim of introducing its new service  "Certification of products for export to Russia and the Customs Union".
