Wherever solar power is used to generate energy, safety is the most important factor: numerous standards regulate the requirements that have to be fulfilled by photovoltaic products. The "TÜV NORD Type Tested" mark offers security, and guarantees that the requirements of the respective product standard and the recognised rules of technology are followed.

TÜV NORD CERT offers type testing and certification of photovoltaic modules and power converters for use in photovoltaic energy systems according to EN 61730-1, EN 61730-2, EN 61215 and prEN 62109-1 for manufacturers and importers of photovoltaic modules and power converters and complete system suppliers. The service includes performance of the type examination, initial visit to the manufacturing facility, grant of permission to use the test mark and control measures for monitoring of production.
