IFS Food

The IFS Food standard is a certification system for food safety in food producing companies, which can be compared with the BRCSG Food standard. Like BRCSG, this standard is also intended for suppliers of private label products to the retailer and also has as its main goal food safety and hygiene in the food processing sector.

The IFS certification system is operated by German, French and Italian retailers. Many retailers, not only in these countries, but also international retailers demand IFS certification from their suppliers.
